Edge 705 Training Navigator

With the introduction of GPS-enabled devices specifically designed to assist people during workout, it may not be easy to choose the most interactive models that will allow them to push themselves to the limit.

Fortunately, technology company Garmin has introduced Edge 705 which is a training navigator that features intuitive interface and wireless technology that will allow users to receive important body data during their training.

For instance, Edge 705 can calculate the heart rate of users while running, cycling, jogging, walking, and other workout activities. With this feature, people can know if their cardiovascular performance is in line with their trainings.

In terms of navigation technologies, this Garmin product has a built-in base map called MapSource City that supports turn-by-turn directions, thus allowing users to easily locate landmarks or their route in case they got lost while training.

To allow people to easily read the preloaded maps, the navigation device features widescreen display that can project clear images under direct sunlight. In addition, Edge 705 has “topo mapping” that will all bikers, cyclists, and runners during their off-road adventures.

Because this device has been specially designed for sports enthusiasts, professional athletes, and individuals who want to live an active lifestyle, Garmin has included a feature that can measure the speed, time, distance, altitude, and calories burned during a workout routine.

Moreover, the device has a built-in barometer altimeter which can pinpoint changes in elevation-a feature specially important for hikers or runners who want to do their training in high elevation to further improve their stamina and cardiovascular strength.

To allow users to receive GPS signal even in outdoors where there are hills, trees, buildings, and other towering objects which can affect the signal, Edge 705 features a high-sensitivity receiver.

Another impressive feature of this training gadget is its capability to store information and to analyze workout. With these features, users can compare their previous trainings to their current ones to know if they are improving. Further complementing this capability is the computer compatibility that will allow people to transfer their training data or download Garmin Training Center software from the Internet.
